PR Images for Hale Business Association | ‘Love Hale This Christmas’ campaign
PR images of Christmas lights in March? Well, sometimes things have to be organised well in advance.
Two years ago Trafford Council withdrew funding for the Christmas lights that adorn Hale village high street, and the Hale Business Association, set up to create and foster a community spirit in Hale by supporting and promoting local businesses, has taken on the challenge of raising the funds. It has begun a campaign entitled ‘Love Hale This Christmas’, the aim being to raise the £15,000 needed, by selling baubles to individuals and local businesses.
The idea was the brainchild of PR and marketing guru (and good friend) Barbara Hallwood, of Hale business Marketing Profile, who has said, “It really is a great opportunity for businesses to get involved, or indeed individuals or families. You do not need to have a business in Hale to be a sponsor – you just have to want to see the village shine. Throughout the year, the sponsors will receive branding exposure – a great way to promote their business and to really support the village.”
I was delighted when she asked me to take some PR images to help launch the campaign. Which is why we were out on the main street, wearing Santa hats, a couple of weeks ago. Well done and big thanks to the ladies of the Business Association for braving the cold and venturing outside for a portrait. The lights in the background keep the theme going nicely. I also managed to take a couple of shots of the illuminated board, which will feature in later parts of the campaign.
If you’d like to support the campaign by sponsoring a bauble, you can contact Barbara Hallwood at firstname.lastname@example.org or PennyEnglish from the Hale Business Association at email@example.com.
