The term ‘business portraits’ covers a multitude of sins.
It might mean a simple head and shoulders shot for Linkedin, or the in-house company lanyard pass and intranet to identify you in a huge corporation. It could be a wider, half body portrait shot against the same coloured or patterned background as all others in the business, to give that sense of identity and unity, and be on your website About page. It might be shot outdoors or on location, inside a funky building to reflect your job more precisely and visually, or to add a bit of interest to an otherwise ordinary posed photo. You may simply want something that’s a bit different visually, to make you stand out. Maybe you’re going to be supplying it to venues and organisers because you’ve been invited to speak at at an event.
I could go on. You get the idea. A simple two word phrase has a multitude of actual meanings, depending on you, your circumstances, your particular marketing needs at this moment in time.Increasingly, people want a selection of business portraits to use across social media, on their website and in some of the examples I’ve cited above; if only to inject a bit of variety into what we see.
None of that is a problem. Because the first thing I will ask you is, “What are these photos for?” And we’ll shoot accordingly.
Here’s a range of business portraits shot across the past couple of years, in all different places, for all different purposes. But they all have one thing in common: they are the result of that question, “What is this for?”
Often people don’t realise just what we can create on a ‘business portrait’ shoot. The best thing is to drop me a line or give me a call to discuss why you’re thinking of getting some portraits done, and what they’re to be used for. It could be the starting point to creating some amazing images for you.
