Well, it’s that time when we all look back and reflect on the year that’s just ended, and make resolutions for the year that’s just begun.

In my case, that means I’ve been able to go through the thousands of photographs that I’ve shot for people over the past twelve months, and relive the assignments.  One of the great things about what I do for a living is the sheer variety of the work.  That’s something that I’ve tried to encapsulate in the slideshow below.  It’s not a ‘best of’, nor a list of my favourite photographs from the year (though undoubtedly some of the images I’ve selected fit into both categories).  Rather, it’s my attempt to show the range of what I do.

So, there are portraits – both in the studio and on location, an increasing number of interiors (something that started out as a bit of a diversion from photographing people, but something I love doing for its own sake), and all manner of events.  While most of the work has been in the North West, I’m travelling further afield these days too.  Who knows if this coming year I’ll even include some images shot overseas?  There’s also a range of companies – from sole traders through to multinationals; and plenty of young and start up businesses in the mix (something that pleases me greatly, not only as a local businessman who wants to see his community thrive, but as a founder of Start Up Business Services, which is trying to promote new business growth in the Altrincham area.

I’ve had great fun looking back on 2017.  Going through the shoots I’ve completed for clients during the year has reminded me what a great job I have, what lovely people I work with, and how no two days are ever the same.  In my eyes I do the perfect job, and I’m exceedingly grateful for the opportunity to pay my bills by doing something that I love so much.

So, a sincere thank you to every single one of my clients, and hopefully the relationship will continue into 2018.
