I do love looking back over the year and reflecting on the assignments I’ve shot.  It’s wonderful to re-live twelve months by opening up the hard drives, scrolling through the thousands of photos and remembering the days, events and moments that made up the year.  I remember the new people I’ve met, the conversations about all manner of strange things with old friends, the appalling jokes I’ve used to raise a smile, the new places I’ve visited, the early rises and late starts ……

It’s damned difficult to reduce that down to around a hundred images and a minute of time, but that’s the target I always set for a slideshow.  It’s painful to throw out some wonderful photos that hold great memories, but them’s the rules – a minute or thereabouts, and no longer.

So, if you’re in the slideshow, thanks a lot and I hope you had a great 2018 too.  If you’re not – it’s nothing personal.  I’m actually planning a series of slideshows early in 2019 that highlight specific areas that I cover (like portraits, events and – the new(ish) kid on the block, sports and fitness) and you’re likely to feature in one of those.  If you don’t see them anytime soon, please hassle me to get on with creating them!

So there you are.  I hope you enjoyed the photos.  Looking forward to seeing many of you again in 2019, and to carrying on the adventure.
